Market Conduct Examinations

The Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner conducts periodic examinations of insurance companies and other regulated entities in Rhode Island in order to determine compliance with Rhode Island insurance laws. Examinations may be conducted based on consumer complaint trends or in a routine manner to determine or follow up on a company's compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
